We went to 6 shopping malls (with a few just taking a "transit").
1. ION Orchard, Orchard Road
Newly opened in July 2009, this mall is prestigious, exclusive and dedicated to brand lovers. But you can find average-priced items here as well. The outlook of it looks very futuristic. To get here, alight at the Ochard MRT Station of North South Line.

The Food Opera gathers a variety of foods, the heaven for gastronomes.

@ Marvelous Cream
Try this "Heavenly Compote Waffle". It's something you don't usually find in Malaysia.

[Left:] Caramel Chocolate & Hazelnuts Caramelized
[Right:] "Uji" Green Tea Strawberry Daifuku Mochi

@ Tsukuji Gindaco
Craving for takoyaki? One of the best takoyaki kiosks is here offering you the piping hot takoyaki balls, topped with dressings and bonito flakes on a special leaf boat, while you can watch how they are prepared...

2. Wheelock Place, Orchard Road
Almost all the major shopping malls at Orchard Road shopping belt are linked by underpasses. Very easily accessible, but also giving problems to tourists as to where to get to the appropriate underpass. They don't really have a proper sign to guide you.

3. Shaw House for "transit" and bit of window shopping.
4. Ngee Ann City quite a boring mall, no crowds there except at the food junctions.
5. Bugis Junction
Over here, the crowds are made up of a majority of teenagers. Exactly like Sg. Wang Plaza in KL. Lot of foods let you choose from, really tempting! To get here, alight at the Bugis MRT Station of East West Line.

@ PizzaKun, Bugis Junction

Wasabi Prawn flavour (S$5.50)
The innovation has provided you a choice to have the usual dough crust or glutinous rice as the base. Of course you gotta try the latter!

6. Iluma
Another new mall opened in March 2009, located just next to Bugis Junction, connected by a pedestrian bridge. Looking at the design of its building, you would wonder why there's no such great piece of architecture (of course I'm referring to shopping malls) in Kuala Lumpur? We love arts, don't we?

Even the interior design of it looks great! And did you notice the escalator which connects the shoppers from Ground floor to 3rd floor?

Have a closer look!
Our timing was just nice. We almost miss our flight!

Goodbye, Singapore =)
Note to all shoppers:
As a visitor, you're eligible to claim the GST (Goods and Service Tax) that you paid on your purchases when you take them home. As long as you're not a Singapore citizen nor PR of Singapore, 16 years old or above, spend a minimum of S$100 (including GST) on goods from PremierTax Free affiliated retailers (almost all shopping outlets are, but always ask if you're unsure) to get the GST refund.
You can also accumulate up to 3 same-day receipts from retailers bearing the same GST reg. number to meet this minimum purchase amount. Eg. the same brand in different outlets. Most importantly, request the Premier Tax Free GST refund voucher!
Present the refund voucher, the goods, original receipts and your passport to the allocated counter at Singapore customs for endorsement. Proceed to PremierTax Free GST refund counter with your endorsed vouchers to claim your refund, either in the form of cash, credit card or bank cheque. (A small handling fee will be deducted though)
