The Stir of My Life

It's the turning point of my life, the joyous moment to celebrate. Never had I ever imagined myself to be given this chance, the almost impossible dream to pursue. Perhaps the message is delivered without any doubt, that I am reserved for something more treasured.

For the one month past I'd been dealing with applications to the universities in Australia, particularly in Melbourne city. I'd applied to University of Melbourne, RMIT, Deakin University, La Trobe University, Monash University, University of Sydney and ANU, The Australian National University.

The outcome was astonishing.

Last week I received the reject letter from University of Sydney. I was discouraged. Noticing how naive I was, that pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (or related course) with my Diploma of Hospitality Management, the latter in fact does not have many prerequisite subjects to make me eligible to be offered an admission to the said course.

3 days ago, I received an offer letter from ANU, The Australian National University for Bachelor of Finance. A lil' bit surprised because I never thought of the possibility of it, somehow it just happened. Ranked at the country's leading university, it is the best in Australasia and positioned at 17th in the world on overall ranking last year. Located at Canberra, the capital city of Australia, the campus covers 360 acres (1.45 km2) across the suburb of Acton and next to Lake Burley Griffin, the central feature of the city.

I am yet to received the replies from the other mentioned universities. Even if they are the positive ones, I have already got myself a ticket to the best one among all. And what do I have to doubt of?

Expect the unexpected. Have you got the true meaning behind it?

Update:
Monash University - Sunway campus: Accepted
Deakin University - Burwood campus: Accepted
